Cost Includes: Flights, Transportation, Accommodation , All Meals, All activities, Travel insurance, VISA ($40)
Activities: Day 1: Arrival in Chiang Mai. Arrival at Chiang Mai Airport. Pickup and transfer to the hotel. After check-in we will go stroll around the night market, have dinner then go back to the hotel for overnight.

Day 2: Zipline Adventure. Breakfast then drive to Doi Suthep temple one of northern Thailand’s most sacred temples then drive outside of Chiang Mai for a zipline adventure on the treetops of an ancient rainforest. Have lunch the drive to Mae Taeng Valley for overnight.

Day 3: Cycling and Kayaking Sri Lanna National Park. After breakfast, we will depart for a scenic cycling loop in the valley. Irrigated all year long by the water of the Mae Ngat Dam, this fertile valley is a showcase of Northern Thailand farming and cultures. We will ride through various plantations, small villages and rice fields. You will have the opportunity to learn the rice farming process through this great ride. Back to our resort for lunch. Afternoon, we go for kayaking in the spectacular Sri Lanna National Park. After a short briefing, we will practice paddling on sit-on-top kayaks around the lake.

Day 4: Hiking Mae Taeng Valley. Transfer to a peaceful valley further north, our trek starting point. After a short briefing, we’ll set off on our hike where we will have your first close encounter with Northern Thailand’s natural environment. Make a lunch stop at a peaceful fruit orchard before continuing our hike, gaining altitude and a noticeable change of flora. We will cross a large tea plantation under the shade of tall mature trees and eventually arrive at a homestay to spend the night. Have a tasty Thai dinner then relax in the evening and soak up our new surroundings. Today’s hike is mostly uphill and we trek approximately 3-4 hours in total.

Day 5: Community Service & Buatorng Waterfall. Short hike to meet our van then transfer to a local school for community service and afterwards we will go to Buatong waterfall for a refreshing splash then drive back to our hotel.

Day 6: The Elephants Sanctuary. Breakfast then drive to the Elephants park for a unique experience in Northern Thailand. Our guide will give us information about the Elephant Retirement Park and the story of the rescued elephants. After that, we will get to prepare healthy treats and meals and feed them to the elephants. Enjoy a traditional Thai lunch, followed by playing with the elephants in the mud and sand spa. Lastly, we may shower and freshen up (towels and soap provided) and enjoy the scenery before driving to our hotel in Chiang Mai.

Day 7: morning for shopping then transfer to the airport for final departure.

 

Supplies Needed:(Cameras and all electronic and personal property is the responsibility of the student. The school will not be held responsible for theft or vandalism of student’s personal property) All below items must be clearly labeled with names. One piece of luggage, one backpack, sleeping bag
Clothes: Change of clothing (sport clothing, 5 t-shirts) , warm water proof jacket, (windbreaker)/sweater, fleece hoodie, hat, sports shoes, socks, crocs, water shoes, flip-flops, scarf, sunglasses, swim wear (Boys: knee length swimming trunks, Girls: knee length shorts elbow length sleeves swim wear) + water shoes

Participants failing to show up with the appropriate swim wear will not be able to participate in water activities

Toiletries: toothbrushtooth paste, soap/shampoo, comb/brush, cocoa butter, sunscreen, towel, toilet seat covers, wet wipes, insect repellent, hand sanitizer, flash light, tissue
Medical Concerns: If the student will need to take medicine, clearly label the bottle with student name, dosage, and time given. Medicine must be handed in to the teacher before departure from the school.
Items Not Allowed: Video games, PSP, game related technology.* At   teacher discretion. Hard candy including lollipops and jaw breakers – Red bull – Gum – Power horse*If any of these items are found, they will be confiscated at the beginning of the program and handed back at the end.
