Activities:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Day 1: Arrival in Aswan, transfer to Nubian village, check-in guest house then go visit Philae Temple then continue to visit some old Nubian houses on Awad Island, then sail back to the marina and drive back to the village explore colorful houses and bazaars

Day 2: Sailing down the magnificent Nile River on a Felucca while passing by several villages that were frozen in time and sleeping under a canopy of stars. Accommodation in sleeping bags on board the Felucca

Day 3: Sail back to the Nubian village and to Suheil Island, the Famine Stela, community development project, sail back to the Village, get closer to the Nubian culture

Day 4: Hop-on rowing boats to explore the National park of Saluga and Ghazal, Barbar beach, swim in the Nile, Nubian houses in Gharb Suheil village, walk to the infamous Iskaleh House for dinner, Nubian party.

Day 5: Community development project, then transfer to the train station for final departure

Supplies Needed:

(Cameras and all electronic and personal property is the responsibility of the student. The school will not be held responsible for theft or vandalism of student’s personal property)

All below items must be clearly labeled with names.

One piece of luggage, one backpack, one sleeping bag, one flash light

Clothes: Change of clothing (sport clothing), water proof jacket, (windbreaker)/sweater, hat, sports shoes, socks, crocs, water shoes, scarf, izdal, Swim wear (Boys: knee length swimming trunks, Girls: knee length shorts elbow length sleeves swim wear).

Participants failing to show up with the appropriate swim wear will not be able to participate in water activities

Medical Concerns: If the student will need to take medicine, clearly label the bottle with student name, dosage, and time given. Medicine must be handed in to the teacher before departure from the school.
Items Not Allowed: Video games, PSP, game related technology.

Hard candy including lollipops and jaw breakers – Red Bull – Power Horse – Gum

*If any of these items are found, they will be confiscated at the beginning of the program and handed back at the end.
